I am still on stock turbo but have about every basic bolt on I can do for this car. Exhaust, fmic, wastegate, bov, injectors, safcII, wideband etc. I had my first run yesterday on slicks.
Horrible 60ft and was my only run of the day due to frying my stock clutch at the start of my 2nd run.
Thanks guys! I was just on 93 octane pump gas. I only got 1 launch in so I wouldn't say there was much of a technique. On the burnout i just put it in 2nd and dumped the clutch at about 4500 rpms. On the launch i had the rpms around 5200 and i let it out real quick without just doing a side step dump on the poor clutch. All in all I have plenty of improvement to do, I hope to be at a 1.80 at the very least the next time I go to the track.
yea last year on 17" drag radials i was lucky to net some 2.0's. i have a lot of improvement myself. i thought i had it down but now with a new clutch i dunno if i'd be able to function the same.
What boost are you running? Good luck on the 1.80! I'll be happy if I cut a 2.0 haha (first time at the track in this car)
I'm just at 17psi, nothing to exciting but enough to DD and still be fun.

Last year I was just on 17" street tires, I was hitting 2.1 60ft's pretty consistently. You'll get it down dude, we'll see how my new clutch does when I get it in this week.

I'm saving up for some slicks.
Last season my fastest run was a 13.4@106 with a 2.1 60ft. Since then I did an intake, safc, fmic, injectors, and a tune. The car should drop just about a second from last years times with just those mods and the slicks. The slicks helped a lot, 1st gear goes by so FAST!

The 2nd gear burnout is what roasted your stock clutch. NEVER 2nd burnout on stock clutch.
5200 off the line w/ the stock turbo/clutch isn't too good of an idea either.
All in all, good run though. You pulled a pretty good e.t. for that trap & 6ty foot.

Ya i kinda figured that out the hard way. I guess it just gave me a reason to get rid of the stock clutch. I hope to better my e.t this weekend if i get some miles on the new clutch.

and i am sure there are a lot more mods you can do. def. get a better clutch (i suggest act 6 puck sprung i use it and love it)
i ran a 12.11 with a 1.71 60ft on 23in slicks (stock ported turbo) if you have any questions let me know. my best 60ft is a 1.68.
I just got an ACT street disc...What other bolt on mods could you think of? That's a pretty damn good 60ft, what is your launching technique? Also, i'm on 25'' slicks...they pull me out of the waterbox pretty quick, that's why i did 2nd gear burnouts.
