Default PT GT performance stuff what's worth it?

Not into the PT's as I have a SRT-4 but a close friend has a new PT GT and wanted to add a few parts to it. Mostly exhaust. What sizes are out there I know my SRT we put a 3 inch MPX exhaust on it turbo back. He wants stainless steel though for sure nothing but that. Quality is very important to him as well. So any good exhausts or performance parts out there please let me know so I can show him where to look.
Thanks,
Lorenzo

automatic or manuel?

This might be a good path for him to start with

S1

AGP 3in BB exhuast ( 3in might be over kill for stock trubo unless changing turbo size later)

Mopar 2.5 dual exhuast ( good for stock turbo )

MaxFab DP or Needs Wings dp

I thought about the mopar stuff as it's a bolt on deal and I have a hookup locally for mopar stuff.

It's a auto though no 5 speed for him. He is a older guy not into sticks anymore and his wife doesn't like them... Any word on if the stage 1 kit is good on a auto? Not sure what it does. He loves the GT though it's a convertible as well.

Oh I looked on AGP's site didn't even show anything for the PT. So not sure where it is on there or what. But I seen him post about it and had one on e-bay fs but that link was old.

Oh shit I did not know agp pulled there PT stuff off. Sorry for the bad info.

Try this http://www.bbexhaust.com

The Mopar exhaust bolts up real easy. Less than an hour.

Stage 1 is great for the car. However if you take it above S1 levels and start giving it more boost you can trash the tranny.

If you dont think he is going to put his foot through the floor all the time then I would get the S1. For our cars it is pretty much the building block. He will feel the difference.

Here is a brief synopsis of the S1

Increased WOT and part throttle boost
Optimized calibration for the Mopar Performance Blow Off Valve
Improved turbo resopnse
Performance optimized transmission calibration

Get Better plugs and wires if you go with the S1

Stage 1 makes a big difference on the PT GT. All downpipes for the SRT can be made to work on the PT as well. My Billy Boat downpipe could be swapped between both cars. But, as mentioned above, check out www.ptcrew.com

S1 makes a huge difference for the auto. The shiftpoints are MUCH better and the boost hold and more PTB make it a much better ride. The boost levels on my s1 gt have been up to almost 19lbs on hot days here in VA. I'm not going above the s1 levels though... it is an auto and they will die if too much power is thrown at them ...

Look for some threads from a user named TRANMAN. AJ is s class act so I'm told. He builds upgraded 41te tranny's. I'm having one installed this weekend. Good up to 500hp.

Forward Motion E1 FTW! oh yeah

That is an understatement... more like explode.

Mine runs pretty good between 16 and 18 psi

Bottom line transmission is a must.

How far do you want to take it? there is a guy in Canada that's over 400whp now. Anything you can do to a SRT-4 you can do to a PTGT (well almost)

It's just there are more SRT owners & shops working on those cars than there are working on PT's. But then it's a true sleeper. I love spanking a unsuspecting ricer or Mustang... occasionally a Camaro too.
