MANIFOLD PRESSURE code!!!!

Ok my car seems to be really picky about my boost setting I'm trying to get 14-15 psi out of it but all I can get is about 13 with out it throwing a P2074-(MANIFOLD PRESSURE/THROTTLE POSITION CORRELATION-HIGH FLOW/VACUUM LEAK) and it only throws this when I'm in part throttle, not when I boostin really hard, I'm haveing this problem because my car was running great spiking 16 holding 14-15 but I had a small leak on my BOV plate well I finally fixed it the other day and of course I was boostin like 16-17 cause their was no leak anymore, so of course my ECU didn't like that very much, but ever since then I can't even get it to hold 14 any more without throwing this code. Any ideas on my problem???????

-PS: doing this with a PTP wastegate

The easiest and best way to get rid of that is S1, hands down. P2074 is an overboost code, which means you're boosting too high for the factory's likings. For now you can turn down the boost if you want, Or you can take the pcm controlled boost out of the loop by capping off the #2 solenoid lines.

Yea I really want S1 but that probably won't happen till summer, but I was reading something about that earlier do I just cap everything off of just the #2 solenoid and nothing else, do I run the line from the WGA to the turbo cause I've heard of that too before?????

Yeah. If you look at the lines on the #2 solenoid, one goes to the wga, and one goes to the turbo. Unplug those and cap them off at the solenoid...I usually just sick screws in the holes and forget about em. Then run a line from the turbo to the wastegate where you took those 2 lines off of and you're set.

Yes, because the PCM is no longer seeing boost, it can't tell if you're overboosting or not.

It won't hurt the motor as long as you don't push the boost too high. You can spike about 18 and hold 15 all day long on stock 04+/S1 injectors

You really should invest in a Stage 1. I know you have been getting by, but Stage 1 helps more than just an overboost code.

The PCM does know that you are going over that 11 lbs that a stocker runs. Maybe not how much since the PCM does not have a reading, but the PCM has other parameters that allows it to determine what is going on.

I hope you have the propper fuel parts necessary as well as a way to clamp your map signal on anything over 18psi, otherwise you're destroying your horsepower that way.
