It's possible to do it without pulling the intake manifold off. Just make sure you have a couple long extensions and it'll work out just fine

Make sure you have a swivel spark plug socket too, it helps getting around those poorly located manifold fins over the #2 and #3 plugs.

It does help but it's not completely necessary if you don't have one. It's barely pushing it but like I said I can get it done with about 16" of extensions, you can get the socket on there well enough to break em loose and torque em down.

thanx. i put them all in and it runs fine. yea i had to use a lot of extenstions. i do have a question though. on the #3 plug there was a yellow ish liquid on it.... dont know what it was but it did not smell like gas. it didnt really have a smell to it. that was the only one that was wet and all the others were bone dry. any ideas of what it could be? i would greatly appreciate any info on what it could be or if it has happened to anyone else. i am going to check it in about a week to see if its still there. i am not sure if that is the first time plugs and wires have been changed but it had about 42k on it when i bought it.

What kind of plugs did you take out? If they were Champions, they may have been the originals. BUT...if they came out EZ they probably were NOT originals. The factory torques the SOB really tight so the first set out is a bitch As far as the yellowish liquid, I think my first set of plugs had that on them also. It never came back after I changed them out.

Which intake manifold do u have cause I have an 06 with the plastic one and I don't think I can get to any of them but one without taking the manifold off but I may be wrong haven't had to yet...

I think it's actually easier with the plastic manifold because you can take that cover off the mani to reveal an exoskeleton lookin thing that's about the same size is the aluminum one

Just run your car for like a thousand miles or so then pull the plugs out and check em out see if you're still getting that yellow stuff and you can go from there.

Sounds like either some oil residue from the valve cover seal or blowby throught the plug seal from the boost pressure. run it and check it later.
