Your IAT (intake air temp) should start going lower when the WI is turned on, especially if you have some alcohol in the mix. Since the WI is not a stock system on the SRT4, there is nothing in the PCM that would monitor whether the system is on or off. Maybe someone else who uses a system like this has another suggestion.

only thing i can think of is if you got a water pressure gauge that had a 5v output on it.

The problem is that you can have issues with your system and still show pressure on the gauge, such as clogged nozzles.

I'm a huge fan of my Aquamist DDS3 gauge. It monitors flow, is adjustable, with both over- and under-flow safety settings, as well as other safety measures and the ability to trigger other devices based on whether or not your water injection is flowing.

can't you buy a "device" that detects whether water is flowing or not?

Possibly, but I'm not sure where.

When I worked in the Aerospace industry we used flow meters all the time, problem is the expense. These are not simple devices either, and would be difficult to implement in a car. It's been a while since I checked into these, maybe something simpler/cheaper is out there now.
