Question

A quick question about the 1/4 mile times and speed.
Since you say that the gauge is relatively accurate in giving the times for your run, it does mention that wheel spin will make the gauge read faster than actual time.
I did a couple of runs with the gauge and got some times that seem unbelievable.
The actual et's were quicker than what the speed was or should've been.
Given the speed, I should've showed about an actual 15.5 in the 1/4 but the gauge showed me with a 15.1.
That seems unbelievable but would be nice.
I've been to the track many times and usually run a 15.5 to 15.6 at 85-87 mph.
My trap speed on the gauge was 88-89.

I'm not complaining but am wondering how accurate the gauge is with some initial wheelspin.

Im kinda wondering something along the same lines... Except mine is really slow...

My 0-60 is like 9.6 seconds. 4 seconds slower than stock.. wtf?

my 1/8th was like 12.xx at 79mph yesterday. When i go high 9's at 79mph at the track.

and the 1/4th doesnt really matter.. I havent had a true stretch to do the 1/4th.

I thought it was a bad traction issue.. Cause i was getting 6 seconds there for a bit. Then last night I stopped on a backroad.. Had one of the best lauches i beleive ive ever had. And i get 9 seconds..

Well, after further review of my 1/4 mile times etc, the scan gauge isn't even close.
I guess for some referencing of these type times, it's ok, but I wouldn't consider the readings you're getting for performance to be accurate.
The G-Tech would be more accurate for sure.

I'm still happy with the gauge though.
Everything else is on par with the gauge.

Well.. i dont see how its not accurate.. reason being.. its a direct plugin to the cars computer. WHich knows how far you have went.. and how fast you have been going.

When it reads 60mph, it stops the clock.. when its went 1/8th.. it stops the clock.. and when its went 1/4th it stops the clock. I mean... I just dont understand how i went from 0-60 in 6 seconds to 0-60 in 9 seconds?

*shrugs* maybe they can chime in on this.

Is your speedometer accurate? You won't be happy with a G-tech if you think the times are off on this gauge. My G-tech Competition is a good .3 sec. and 4 mph off on average. As long as I avoid excessive wheelspin the Interceptor is within .15 typically. If you spin the tires much then forget it.

After seeing your post on a 9 sec 0-60 I did a few runs on my car, and with a easy launch I got 5.7-6.1 second runs on 4 tries. Do you always get slow results like 9 seconds with the gauge? That's strange.

not pro was the first version
second version was pro
and now third version is SR for srt

not pro had the stand obd value plus knock

second version has more stuff, barometric pressure, air temperature, tps volts, knock volt, base timing, timing adjust, mpg,hp and some other

sr version don't know all the new value close and open loop for sure
but now you have the shuffle option: you can choose 8(not sure) value and make them shuffle on the screen at a rate you choose

and now you can take one of the value and light up the led to warn you at a level you choose

normally you can upgrade to the latest version (for a small fee)
the SR version can be upgraded on gage built after july 07 (hardware change)

thats about all i remember
