What I would expect to see, and what I recall seeing when I did this once way back when, is basically a replay of what you saw in cyclic scan mode.
You're in cyclic scan, the parameters are changing as you programmed them. You then select record, and are taken back to cyclic scan except the indicator is there at the top telling you that record is enabled. Once throttle position exceeds 50% the screen inverts colors indicating that you are recording, and you are recording what is being displayed in cyclic scan. Once you fill the record buffer, the screen colors invert back again and you are still in cyclic scan. Now you go into the menu and select play, and once in you start hitting the buttons to scroll through the recorded data frames. You should see the first two parameters for a while, then these will change to the second set of parameters, etc. for as long as the recording lasts.
