Default Possible issue with Scanguage?

Hey guys..

Maybe you can assist. I purchased a set of Dual gauages a about a month ago, installed and all i can say is wow.

Running into some issues though regarding boost.

Why is my guage never accurate? See pictures below to understand what I mean. When i turn the ignition to "on" and not start the car, somtimes it will read .4lbs. Today i got home from work, and did the same and the guage read 4.3 lbs. I was told that the guage is only reading what the PCM is telling it, and due to possible geographical location it may vary. Well that picture was 1/2 a block from the beach. Pretty close to sea level.

Second picture is after i started it up... -9.1.? Shouldnt this be in the -18 to -20 range? Then it bumped up to -10.3. this is flutuatiing constantly obviosly since i have it at the maximum buss speed.

Third pircture is after I unplug the units from the OBD2 port, let it sit for 5 minutes while the car is running, and plug it back in while the car is under load. (casual driving in 4th gear.) This below picture is almost at an idle.

I cant show full boost readings since I dont have a steady hand, but what i will do is datalog a 3-4 pull and show that my boost readings will vary during the same day, at the same temperature and on the same road at the same sea level. Somtimes it will read 16lbs, somtimes it will read 20.4 which i know for a fact i am not pushing.

Please let me know what you think...

Sorry for the delay, I can only get on here once or twice a week. I update our tech forums daily though if you need a quicker response.

I'm going to bet that you don't have this problem with the main gauge. It has to do with the fact that the "second" gauge is not able to access the "barometer" reading needed to convert the MAP reading to vacuum/boost. We've actually just changing the way this gauge calculates the boost level to eliminate this from happening.

If you want this gauge reflashed at no charge contact service@aeroforcetech.com.
