Default Interesting issue with my new Interceptor

So I plugged it into the obdii port...turned the ignition to the on position, but didn't start the engine. A few seconds later, the gauge lights up...I go through the setup spiel, get it displaying what I want and take her for a spin. Everything is beautiful, I love the gauge, etc.

So I turn the car off, head back into my house, grab some stuff, then decide to take off again. I fire up the car and wait....nothing happens. I wait 2-3 minutes, and the gauge never turns on. I then unplug it from the obdii port (with the car completely off), plug it back in, turn the ignition to the on position, wait...and it fires up.

I think 'Huh...weird' and continue on. I swing by the gas station, fill the car up, turn the car on and again, it doesn't turn on. I drive for about 5min or so, and the gauge still doesn't turn on. I come out of the grocery store, unplug it, plug it back in...ignition on....gauge works.

Am I missing something here with regards to the thing powering on?

So the only way to get the gauge on is to unplug it and plug in back in? Be sure to send this question to service@aeroforcetech.com. Have you tried hitting one of the buttons to turn the gauge on? This is a back-up method, although you shouldn't need to do this on an SRT4.

Hey Todd,

Yeah...the first time it did this, I was puzzled...I waited about 2min and started pressing the buttons to see if anything happened. I've detached it for now, as I need to unscrew the dashboard to properly route it...I'll test it again and if it keeps up, I'll send something in to that e-mail address.
