Default HP reading on the new guages?

I just saw this tonight (HP as an option to monitor) and I am guessing it stands for horse power? But I want to clarify on this and how acurate is it, has anybody monitored this and went on a dyno afterwards? How close were the numbers?

usually HP measured at the crank and it requires a reading from the MAP sensor so if you're clamped or doing some piggyback it's going to skew the reading...it's pretty neat tho

This reading is decent on these cars, but keep in mind that they don't have a MAF sensor which provides a much more accurate basis for calculation. Also, the further you get from stock, the more variables that are entered into the picture that our calculation cannot account for. Thus the reason for the "HP correction" function in the menu where you can enter a correction factor after dynoing the car to convert to WHP or to just alter the final reading at the crank (which is how we display the HP value by default).

I'm map clamped so it won't read right "down low" but when I fall under the clamped voltage it'll read right again.

Let's see I went from 303hp to 339hp on this gauge after I map clamped and tuned the car...339 X .85 = 288whp...I could buy it with my mods and track times.

The area it'll read lower than it should will be your clamped voltage periods (when boosting over what the ECU can see)

What factor equals the .85 and why do you multiply the hp number by it? I am just curious because I have no clue what the .85 stands for so I thought I would ask.

You need to check the HP correction value. It should be 100. If it is 100, tell me what your engine air flow reading is when you see 700.
