Default engine load parameter

do you know what this value is more specifically..i can see it on the gage and on my ot-1 but doesn't really know 100% equals to what ??

I always thought 100% = 100% or the engine is working as hard as it can.....

when you have a maf 100% equal the max input of air he can measure....


if it would be in the engine max capabilite what would be the value 200,300..1000 hp ??


but sine we don' have a maf...the engine us the map and other sensor to calculate load...but witch one ??

I'm no expert on how manufacturers calculate engine load, but appears that there is no standard. On my Ford for example I could not get close to 100% until I did quite a bit of hp mods. On some cars, like my neighbors Malibu, you can hit 100% at 75% throttle on a stock motor.

Generally speaking, engine load is used in 2D and 3D fueling and timing maps as an indication that the car is making max power at a given condition.
