i really didnt get to set the annuncatior up because im not driving my car for the winter. But as for the fans turn the key to the on postion not starting the car. On the scan gauge push both the buttons, use the left button to scroll all the way down to the last option b4 it takes u back up to scan mode. I for get what its called but i know its the last 1, anyhow when u get it highlighted push the right button. Their should be 4 options Fan low....Fan high....Fan off....Exit just scroll to what u want and select it.
That is correct, Chrysler only allows the fan control to work when the key is on/engine off. This makes it very useful for cooling down the car at the track, just be careful not to run down the battery.
The last menu option is called "controls". Select this and you'll go to a submenu where you can turn the low and high speed fan on and off.
This feature was just added and is not listed in the manual yet.
The annunciator warning is there to tell you that you have not set it up or that it is off, so that you know not to count on it when it's not activated. The idea is that someone could set it up, turn it off at a later time, forget, then later realize too late that it's off when they are depending on it for knock alarm or whatever.
So what is the annunciation anyway? I'm not really understanding what is does. Does it have something to do with calibration of the readings?
It allows you to monitor any parameter, set a safe limit, and turn on the high intensity LEDS to warn you when this threshold is exceeded. For example, you want to know when knock retard exceeds 3 degrees. Go into the annunciator set up, choose knock retard, enter 3 degrees, enter "above" (you can choose "below" as well for things like oil pressrure), then exit. Now you can scan or display any two parameters, doesn't have to be knock retard, and the gauge will warn you when knock goes above 3.

Todd,
Ok, I went down to the car and got the Knock retard alarm set up as you stated, but when I went to do the FAN mod thing, there wasn't any "control" option from the menu and the car was with the igntion on/car off. I don't know what would be the problem here.

then u dont have it cause now i need to send mine back in for this feature
One more annunciator question.. the car is my daily driver, and I use the MPG features to record my gas mileage. I know that the "average mpg" in the menu only records when the "instant MPG" on the gauge is selected.
Would I be able to set up the annunciator features to scan through MPG, knock, and horsepower (for instance) while still having the average MPG recorded? Or will I have to keep the MPG static and use the other readout as the annunciator?

You can use the cyclic scan feature to cycle through those parameters, and yes it will calculate avg. mpg if instant. is included in the set of parameters.
