Sure. Most wide band kits have an analog signal out that you can use with the Aeroforce Scan Gauge. For example, here's instructions for using an Innovate LC-1 with the Aeroforce gauge: slope and intercept settings for lc-1?
I guess my question is...I'm searching the vendors on here for wideband kits. I assume a wideband kit consists of the sensor and necessary wiring for a gauge to be able to read/output from the sensor. So if I were to get a wideband kit, plug it into the Aeroforce and configure it, I'd be fine.
But, so far, any kits I'm finding are like..$300+. Why would I do that vs. paying $250-300 for an AEM UEGO with the sensor and gauge. I assumed it should be CHEAPER just to get a kit and 'attach' or install it to an existing gauge.
I guess that's where my confusion lies.

Many of the wideband kits include a gauge, and that makes them more expensive. The LC-1 list price is $199, and you can usually find it for a little less, maybe $189. It is just the controller and sensor, with no gauge but with digital and programmable analog outputs. You can also get just the controller part and supply your own sensor.

Why is everyone waiting on baited breath for this thing? Just go buy an LC-1... Have they offered a reason to believe that this will be cheaper and/or better than the LC-1? I imagine the LC-1 will work nicely with the scan gauge...

These kits will be backwards compatable with all the Interceptor gauges that have analog inputs.
Our goal is to offer our customers a comprehensive list of instruments and sensors to allow you to read anything you want on our gauges. As of now we have the EGT kits, MAP sensors, oil, and fuel pressure sensor kits. Soon we'll have general temperature (air, coolant, oil, etc.) sensor kits as well as nitrous pressure.
Well, I'm just not sure it can be much cheaper or better than it already is. It might be hard to get much cheaper than the LC-1. The retail price is $199. Innovate Motor Sports On-Line Store
I think I've seen it on sale for $170. So, you need to do better than that.
The sensor itself is about $50. Then then you need a microcontroller that can do the calibration, control loops, cabling, waterproofing, some profit, etc...
I'm just not sure it can be done much cheaper. That's why we haven't done one...
But, anyway, I hope they prove me wrong. Aeroforce makes great stuff. I have their gauge in my car and I really like it. So, best of luck to them. I'll sit back and wait to see as well....
I got a pm saying to send an email to service@aeroforcetech.com to ask about it so they can get motivated to finish it and I guess they'll also see that there's interest as well so I figured I'd let people know what I heard. I sent the email, it couldn't hurt.
Here is the response I got:
they are still under development. We will let you know when ready to ship
Thanks

Haha...well that's a 'no duh'. They've been under development for almost a year now. Oh well...I bought an AEM Wideband because I couldn't wait for this to 'maybe' come out. I love the gauge...wish this was done.
