i just finished installing my 2008 version of the Aeroforce scan gauge and was messing with the fan controls. Is it just my gauge or do you ONLY have control of the fans while the car is NOT running but the key is on the ON position? I turned the car on and the fans shut off,. I went to the controls and tried to turn on the fans again but nothing happened.
The fan option only works when the car is off and the key turn on.
Basically if ur at the track or just got done doin some pulls, u can use this option to cool the car down to work on it or getting the car ready to make another pass.
on mine low turns on low fan and high turns on high fan. you can turn high one on, then click low and the low one will come on. i dont think you can turn them on while you drive which sucks...
yeah i guess. i would like a little clarification on the if the fan would even come on while the car is rollin and if both fans would come on and not just one.
You can turn both fans on to run at the same time as described above. This only works when the car has key on, engine off. This is hard coded in the PCM, not by us.
Its a parameter that the PCM has coded as stated above and unless you re-wire the fans its the only option to really work with. I use it a lot and love the feature.

Why? Do you want to drive around with the fan on when there's already air flowing through the radiator? 95% of the time you're going to to be parked when you want to cool the engine off so what's the big deal?
