oh and my car was only making 300 something whp back then, we just wanted SOMETHING to get the car to move on it's own power since DSS was taking so long and it ended up just costing me more money as vatozone wouldn't give me my money back.

Out of curiousity, where do you guys get the peloquin diff ? I'm considering getting one during winter. Bolt-on ? What's with the o-ring thing ?

Get them straight from Peloquin. Bolts right in but with shims added to gear side bearing race to correct installed height.

Hell with the $1000 diff that screws up. Install (w/ Love) the Phantom Grip or the likes of and you won't have any issue.

It must be understood that most of the common differential problems stem from installation error.

i had a phantom grip let go in the burnout box and it chucked a spider gear through my case. that was after about 30 passes on it.

Newton's law even applies in racing and sometimes things break before the anticipated opposite reaction occurs. This failure had nothing to do with an install error.
