After a very eventful trip we finally got here. Started to leave at 8:00 am and the battery is dead in the tow vechicle. Off to Sears to have it checked. An hour later they tell me its good. Put it back in and fire it up and get a slight back fire and a check engine light. Do a scan on it and #5 cylinder misfired. No big deal . . . clear the code and we were on the road 3 hours late.

Car is at the track we're pre-registered and back at the hotel and ready to go tomorrow. We are parked just before the NRG team, right across from the staging area. A lot of cars are already at the track and more were heading in.

Darrell, the car better get into the 10's and did you forget who whooped your azzz time wise during testing Hopefully you'll have spare axles . . . my biggest fear

Thanks for all the encouragement guy's, but today wasn't our day. 1st qual run I double bulbed staged which I rarely do. Waited for the starter to ask me to back out, but he motioned the other car to stage. He didn't move so he motions to me to back out which I did. The other guy then double bulbs in and before I can stage again the auto-start feature catches me and I see red. Get a good run in, but no slip. At least we got a good log and it showed we had corrected two issues.

2nd qual run we broke the driver side axle right off of the line. Done/through/ finished. Back to the drawing board to determine why we are now breaking axles.

Broken axles were the highlight of the day for lots of people today. Three SRT4's and the all motor guy next to me in the pits who broke both axles on the line.

We'll join Kevin tomorrow as a spectator.

i believe it was because of the axle that got stuck in the peloquin so there is a stocker in there for now.
