TURBO BRAKE-IN AND PRIMING INFO.

Before you startup your car after installing one of my BWS. You need to first prime the turbo with oil.

Unplug the coil pack, pull the fuel pump relay and spark plugs. Crank once or twice for 15 seconds and then listen/ inspect for leaks. After that crank continuous until low oil light goes out. Could be 2 minutes. The turbo will then be primed with oil. Now you can plug the coil pack, fuel pump relay/plugs back in. Double check everything and then start up and let the car idle for 5 minutes and listen/ inspect for leaks. Shut the car off and check for leaks. If all is good, its time to go take the car for a spin. Start off with 0 ZERO boost for the first 50 miles. Check or leaks/inspect after the 50 miles. After that you can do lite boost (5-10psi) for 50 more miles. Then after that you can go into your normal boost.

tylers boost map, he is using PCM boost with ~95% wgdc with fm wg

my boost map, I'm using n2mb box, set at 24 psi in 3rd. This is the latest log I've done.(as my car sits as of 4/5/12.)

I did track my car on the bws. Ill post a log of the boost and timing. Horrible. I let the car get over 210 degrees. I was talking to my passenger and wasn't paying attention.

Mole's Cars Peak Hp and Tq in Correction: STD & Smoothing: 0. Strictly posted for comparison sake against others that do not post the industry standard "Smoothing/5" corrections.







Mole's cars final Dyno pull for the day, may not be the "peak" numbers, but it shows a nice fat power band.







Another look at the above pull showing the turbo held nearly 360 HP to 5800 RPM's (an 11 HP drop at 5800 RPM's from it's "peak" power)






Mole's cars boost levels. Please do not read to much into this. The Dyno used a GM 3 bar sensor hooked up through a long like 8 food sample line. Because of this there was lots of osilation and pulses in the sample line. Jay from N2MB can verify from the DSP logs that the boost holds rock soild and dosen't osilate as much as this graph reflects.

Anyone with Dyno runs, get the .drf files and email them to me if it was on a Dyno Jet and we can post/overlay them.

o didnt see that lol, if u buy them wit out a core how much, and after reciving turbo can i still send my core and get refunded, i just dont want to have my car down for too long as my daily is being used by my dad right now

i forgot to add that part.

core charge is $200 on the turbo. you have 2 weeks to return a good core ( rebuildable, no bent shaft, good ext wheel) and then your core charge will be refunded.


same goes for an exhaust manifold. good core (not all cracked up, nothing broken off of it)
