Yea, originally. Bores were out of round .001 and had .0015 taper which will not do so we precision honed the block and got it perfect for the new TNT Total Seal Rings. Had plasma moly rings which I do not use on high out put engines at all. The pistons sides at the ring lands were touching the cylinder walls under boost requiring our piston clearance machining package. We then decided to do the DCR Spherical Dish and Combustion Chambers for some serious gains. The rod bearing clearance was only .0015 which we had to change to .0025. Rods had the weak 8740 bolts so we upgraded to L19s. We also machined the rods and added oiling features to the wrist pin bores. Balanced all.

On the cylinder heads we decked to get them perfectly straight, performed DCR Full Radius Valve Job, DCR Porting and Port Reshaping and DCR Sperical Chambers.

I'm a sucker for the sound of a turbocharged Ford V8.

I have a buddy that is twin turboing his 07 GT, sheet metal intake mani, comp stage 3 cams, and a few other things! I cant wait to hear it when its done! He still has to build the motor, and do something with the clutch/tranny... He was running a procharger D1-R last year, but he got a great deal on the turbos, so his uncle is going to be running the D1 now.
Here's a video of it with the blower
YouTube - Bruce's 07 Mustang GT Procharger, and some!

Not much can sound better than this!

Update...just baselined the DCR 331 76mm Turbo Mustang tonight with just 11 pounds of boost and we already made right at 600whp and 570wtq. We are up over 75whp and 75wtq with less boost and timing as compared to before. We picked up all the way across the board even with less boost as compared to our previous baseline pulls before the DCR engine. The addition of the small block ford DCR Spherical Dish Pistons and DCR Spherical Combustion Chambers really stand out here. We instantly noticed we had to add fuel and we decided just to pull some timing to get started.

Only two pulls tonight just to get started...stay tuned this week as we turn this bastid up!!
