Default Zoomers group buy

Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you know that I have been in contact with Ron at Zoomers exhaust regarding a system for our trucks since November... It looks like we are shooting for the end of this month to get started on the prototype (we have been trying to coordinate our schedules).

I'm looking forward to getting a less restrictive system on my Jeep to see what kind numbers it puts down. Ron told me that they plan on doing some baseline dyno runs before he takes off the stock system to see where were at. He'll then put it back on the dyno to see what kind of numbers we get with the new system. They recently got dyno #'s for the 300 SRT8 they were Horsepower: 22.6 HP gain @6100rpm, 21.8 HP gain @5400rpm, 16.8 HP gain @4200rpm Torque: 23.5Ft-lbs @3700rpm, 20.3 Ft-lbs @4700rpm, 18.2 Ft-lbs @5600rpm.....

Monday March 27th is the day. I just got off the phone with Ron and set everything up. He is very excited to get this project going (very impressed with all the enthusiasm with these Trucks). Once the prototype is made the turn around time for the actual system is a few weeks. The actual cat-back will use the same material as used in the other SRT8 systems (all stainless steel) 3 inch all the way back with an x-pipe. It will be similar looking to the Magnum’s set up check this out:1. http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/MSRT-8/magnumSRT8.html.

As for cost Ron told me that will depend on how involved the system gets. He expects the cost to be similar to the other SRT8 systems or a little less. As for the group purchase, the more guys we get on board the better. We can expect to get a least a few hundred dollars off (possibly more depending on how many guys we get). I think we have 14 on board so far so it’s looking good.

Default Zoomers group buy / my stock dyno #'s

This was posted by Zoomers on another site. I dropped my Jeep off with them yesterday so they could start on the cat-back system. They had it dyno'ed at an independent shop in the LA area to get so baseline #'s.This is what Ron @ Zoomers posted:

"Dynamic 4-Wheel Dynamometers

Max Power 369.3 hp @ 6296 RPM (Base line stock)

Max Torque 347.2 lb-ft @ 4936 RPM (Base line stock)

We already have the stock system out and we are ready to start fabrication... Hopefully by sometime tomorrow we will get to hear what she sounds like with the first design concept I discussed with Lance this morning.

This thing will be nothing short of Bad Ass."

BTW guys I do have a drop in K&N....so I guess it's not completly stock. I also have 2300 miles on her now and from the postings I've seen all of the other dynos have been done with less than 1000 miles on them. I also changed the oil at 150 & 900 miles (I don't know if it made a difference but it could'nt hurt) and drove it hard from the begining (did not baby it).

This is the current list..... After talking to Ron yesterday it looks like the first 40 people will get an additional discount in conjunction with the group buy price. Once he comes up with the established price he will let us know. So if you are not on the initial list you might want to think about it... there are 3 slots left (those who are not in the top 40 will still get the group buy price).

What kind of a price are we talking about here? I live in the midwest, Can I just order the system, and install it myself. Also will this system void any factory warenties?...freak

Price is yet to be determined by Ron @ Zoomers, we should know something more in the next few days. Yes you could call Zoomers directly but the list is what they will be going by. Yes it will be a do it your self install and since it is a cat-back it will not void the warranty.
