Post MagnaFlow Front Muffler Installed Results

Well I did it yesterday and had the factory front muffler replaced! Results, instant power return and less noise, no more buzz from the exhaust system. I left the rest of the system stock for now. The DS front pipe, tail pipe was very blue in color and the PS wasn't discolored at all. Why? The factory muffler is straight through on the DS and the PS is baffel hindered. This is a very quiet change and even more than stock. The factory muffler, and resonators are cheap tin cases but the inlet and tail pipes are stainless? Now I have all stainlesss muffler, pipes etc. Cost less than $250 installed. Next, I'll replace the resonators and tips with stainless straight through mufflers and resonator tips. This will be different than any system out there now. I'll test the results at the drag strip and post them. A local custom muffler shop did this install in less than 1 1/2 hrs time. Gene

I'd like to know the specific part # used if possible.

No problem here is the muffler p/n 12469 Magnaflow X flow Muffler 3" inlet/outlet. HTH Gene PS. Some small pipe pieces are needed to install but the whole job took less than 1 1/2 hrs to complete.

So far it's great in all areas. A lot of people couldn't believe it ran so fast at the drag strip and it just keep pulling just as hard on the top end as the launch. Mine isn't even close to being broken-in! Ran it at 650 miles on the odometer. The muffler change should net some improvements and some more miles on the vehicle too! Gene
