They need to do some more homework if they do not think the SRT8 can handle the track.

I agree. But, the GC SRT is nowhere near a well driven E60 M5 in handling or speed.

The SRT-8 handling is great for a SUV, but definitely not good enough I feel. The ESP is definitely quite intrusive, and you can't turn it off...

the m5 is sweet, but i believe the srt8 is more solid, rather it be straight line or corners there is hardly any body roll(great for an suv). and excelleration is a bit better in the jeep...awesome throttle response...but the m5 and jeep are both sweet... yes i have ridden in one but no i have not driven one....yet..

No way the GC SRT will outrun the M5 in straight line or handling. I'm sure the M5 couldnt get traction or wasnt ready. The SRT is awesome, but the E60 M5 is no joke.

I don't recall that in the video but I do remember them saying that it got over .8 g's on wet pavement. The SRT website claims .92 g's.

The magazines have not been able to get 0.9gs on the skidpad. Car and Driver got much less than that, and they blamed the traction control.

Also, I feel the traction control fighting me when I take corners fast and hard, so I don't believe the .92gs either. A pity.
