Car & Driver got a 13.2 1/4 mile. The times posted for owners have been from 13.1X to 13.5X in the 1/4 thus far. Car & Driver also posted a 4.5 sec. 0-60 time.
Having driven them at the SRT Experience , it would readily appear from a certified butt cheeks feel , that only the Viper will outrun this AWD Beast. We have sold around 15 ( actually have 3 in stock ,finally ) and the feedback from our customers is the same-------------Holy Moly, this is one super fast Jeep!!! The guys that have gotten back with me are running mid to low 13s, but the fun part seems to be the quick stomps on the streets and highways busting up Mustangs , Camaros, etc. One owner had previously had a Cayenne Turbo, and he flat states the Jeep is faster. Now this wasn't their new 500+ hp one, but his response is it is a major heckraiser at a bargain basement price ( obviously that is subjective). It seems to me that this machine could be the ultimate sleeper of the past 5 years, but time will tell.
Sincerely,
Bill Pemberton

Yep, its a great vehicle. The sedan SRT-8s edge it just a little, maybe .2-.3 in the 1/4, but thats at maybe 110. To 60 and a little beyond, that damn AWD just kills.
We did back to back in the SRT Jeeps and 300s at the cheesy dragstrip thingy at the STE, and it was a freaking hoot. Just put your foot down and go. Just hunkers down and PULLS.
Did you race one? Or are getting ready to?

Three SRT-8 vehicles ran here in Vegas during Mopars at the Strip. IIRC, all ran mid-high 13s-- theGC SRT-8 ran a 13.58, the Magnum ran 13.8x, and the Charger ran 13.3x.

Reason: The GC ran a 13.58, not a 11.58
Remember Las Vegas Is 2100 Ft So To Get Sea Level Corrections Multiply Track Et By .9757
A TRACK ET OF 13.30 CORRECTED TO SEA LEVEL IS 12.977
stop ricer racing and come back to reality. a timeslip is a timeslip, there's no "correcting for altitude" bullshit.
a friend has one of these, and i can tell you that the damn thing pulls like no truck i've ever been in before. i have a video of a srt-8 jeep doing a 13.3, and soon we'll have a vid of his srt-8 running against me at etown. we'll do it and get it back as soon as his car comes back from the shop (motor is being replaced).
4r? Where the heck are you getting your info? Trust me here.
That 3900 weight is way off, its more like 4600-4700. And a 13.2 is doable, but thats about the best you'll see. they get a better launch and 60 foot, but after that, the others catch up. The 300C and Charger have both seen mutliple cars hit 12s bone stock, Ive seen it myself. the Magnum can see 13.0 under optimum conditions.
psi chick, if your just mentioning corrections to explain why a car ran slower, I dont see that as ricer racing, but explanation for folks that might not know.
If someone says "My car ran 13.2" and only when questioned says its corrected, now thats wrong. Or claims a faster than another car based on corrections, again wrong.
But, if someone asks why a car ran an unexpectedly slow time, its okay to explain that altitude makes a difference.
