I know of one. I will send you their way... but first, how serious are you about getting a JGC SRT8?!?! I was offered MSRP, but I would be ordering one.

What I could do is:
Let me contact them and see if WE BOTH could get a BELOW MSRP price if we BOTH put a deposit down.

If you're in and serious (very close to actually putting a deposit down, let's say in the next couple weeks - they require a $1000.00 deposit) respond to this thread ASAP (no later than Friday at let's say 3:00 pm our time (my contact leaves the dealership at 4pm I believe).

I'm being 100% serious. I'll try to negotiate the deal if you want... suggest to me a 'target' price deduction from MSRP (I would think shooting for $1000 off for the both of us).

My contact is:
Deb Arelline
Sales Manager/Internet Director
Poway Chrysler Jeep Dodge

Let me know.

PS: I'll be checking this thread Friday from around 9am - 3pm. I have to talk to the wife about this, but I'm fairly certain I'll be doing it. The vehicle would take 4-6 months for delivery, according to Deb. Even if I had to back out, she'll likely still give you MSRP.

Unfortunately, I live in southern california, the land where everything is marked-up. We test drove a 5.7L JGC last weekend... there were TWO stickers on the window... one gave the usual info. and MSRP... the second was the DEALER's sticker, stating a $2000 mark-up.

There are too many rich idiots in California, and they don't have a problem paying extra cash for something they could drive home that day.

Try calling Dave Smith Motors. 1-800-635-8000. If they don't have one they will order one. All sold at invoice plus 200. Sure they are located in Kellogg Idaho but they pick you up from Spokane airport (cheap flight). Besides, it's a nice drive back down to So Cal.

Not specifically. I prefer dealing with someone over the phone, I'm to impatient to wait for a reply. The dealership sells every new car the same though so it doesn't really matter.

I sent an email and received a reply stating that they have sold all their SRT8 Jeeps for the moment and when they are able to order one, it would be at MSRP only.

Thanks for trying to help me, nvr2old.
So far, the best deal I've found locally was $500 under MSRP.
Still looking!!!

Actually the new Grand Cherokee is selling quite well, almost matching sales numbers for 2001 and 2002 and beating the totals for 2003 and 2004.

Calendar year sales, Grand Cherokee:

2001 - 223,612
2002 - 224,233
2003 - 207,479
2004 - 182,313
2005 - 213,584

Well, a single GC SRT-8 weighs over 2 tons so I guess it's possible there will be "tons of them in showrooms at the end of Feb." If as I suspect however you're suggesting that there will be several GC SRT-8's on lots by months end for a casual buyer to simply walk up & purchase, there is absolutely nothing to support that. Evidence seems to support the GC SRT-8 will be a hot property throughout the 2006 run. Not impossible to get, but requiring some work & searching unless you're willing to order one & wait.
