DAS,

3 peak HP and 12 more to redline, no increase in peak Trq, but 20 more to redline. Per my dyno comparison. ON a stock turbo and 22 psi.

FYI,
Marion

DAS,

That Don dude is uncatchable. I can't get my Sneaky Pete to work right. I got it from FBM and it does not work right j/k.

Supposedly, I have 305 peak HP. My clutch spun on the dyno in 4th so the stocker clutch is going south.

Marion

We are still working on that. Everytime we go faster, something else takes a poop. I think the DCR head will get us our power back from the leaking valve job we have now, and that should seal the deal. However Im betting that Don fellow beats his own time first.

Im not sure if you heard, but we finally got the the car in the low 12s after months and months of broken stuff

12.07 with 19psi. If I turn the boost up anyhigher it goes 12.40s

Ahh have no worries Aaron I keep tabs on what you and Mez are up to. Not to pick a fight but I told you long ago it is harder than it looks to run 11's on the stock turbo and you guys are proof. I know alot of people still think it's just a matter of throwing money at it and going to the track but Dan, Marion, you, and I know better. It's a ton of work and effort to do it. I'm sure mez's car is just a few more passes from being in the 11 sec club now but it has been a long hard road to haul. Same thing goes for the 10 sec mark on any set up. I now have more than enough power to run mid to low 10's but getting the car to stick it to the ground is alot of work. Plus all the little issues that pop up as you keep pushing the envelope.

Peace

Lon

Oh trust me, I never said it was going to be easy I just know we can do it. But this car has been a train wreck. I really do think its alot easier than what we have been through though.

2 trannies, 3 clutches, broken shifter, broken shift selector, 2 blown pcms, and now leaking valves

Im fairly certain with this setup and a healthy car, it would go 11s pretty much all day.

Alot of it has to do with driver also. His car was breaking so much, he couldnt get much seat time. To run an 11, you need to be whoopin the balls out of the car

this mod sounds really temping and i will be getting one very soon. i just cleared my account on a new FMIC to replace my old one. and also a few other goodies. i just need about $30 in there and ill be hitting you up

oh and yes it is hard to hit 11's on stock turbo. i think you get to a certain point and then after that it takes ALOT. for awhile i was confused on how mez's car and many others were running the times they are. then i go out with just a needswings DP, mapclamp tuned by aaron (almost a year ago), ported TB, WG, MBC, slicks and a few other non power adders. and run a 12.6??? maybe im lucky or just a good driver i mean i was pulling 1.7 60ft my second time down the track and for the rest of the night. and was also my first time on slicks in this car with only 8psi in them

Yeah getting past 12.3 is the first major jump. Then it gets harder and harder. You know how you go to the track and run say a 12.9 a 12.7 a 12.8 then boom a 12.5 well that doesn't seem to happen once you get past 12.3 well not for me any ways. Now you are at a best of 12.3 so now you just start nibbling off 0.05 here and there. I can tell you once you get to 12.0 it gets even harder. This oil modifier might be the trick for a few cars sitting on the bubble right now who knows?

exactly.....thats where i got stuck this year is with the mid 12's. but that is mainly just because i had some serious financial issues. and then being stuck with such a shitty local track. i am also trying to max the stock turbo and hope to lay down some good times next year. just trying to find a good welder and porter right now, for my new setup . i just need a few more things to top her off. but i know they are gonna cost some bigs bucks. oh and one of you norther boys better be ready to tune this POS real soon.

If I could get the skinnies back from J.Moore I have a couple of opportunities left weather permitting. With more HP to redline with the DCR Oil Mod it outta out do the 12.2. I've not ran the car since May on a track as I've been babying it with these long drives to work now amounting to 94k on the odometer. I need a reassignment bad.

But I've kinda lost interest in the goal as I have the STG3 setup in the garage , all i need is a DP.

I'd be very happy with a solid 11 in a STG3 street Neon.
