two options, go to an autozone and have them scan the car for free, or go to your dealership and pay what ever the rate is there and have them scan the car
but there isn't any reason why you shouldn't be able to do the three cycles and have the code pop up.

you do the key to on, (not starting the car) three times. so you do on, off----on, off----on and on the third on the mileage area should blink with a p code. the only time this can get tricky is if you have a turbo timer. if you do make sure it is turned off

Nah............I've had 2 different turbo timers in the car in the past but I don't have any in at the moment..................I've tried to check codes like this every now and then in the past but it has never shown me anything. Maybe because my car was one of the first one's out???

Check engine light on my company's pt cruiser, but it doesn't get any cels. Is there anything else I can do besides bringing it into autozone for a scan?
