TSB 08-020-04 : SRT-4 Vehicle Theft Alarm System

Ok, never said I never said anything about me getting activation for free. They charged me $15 for activation of the alarm. When did I say anything about free. the basis of my post is does my car have an alarm? Dealer is telling me I dont and this TSB is telling me I do. I could care less if I have to pay for the activation of the alarm. Call me stupid but it say's that it was not activated. Then it give instructions on how to activate the alarm.



However, I paid 15 dollar for a activation that never happend

I was at the dealership today to get my 04 alarm activated.
I was all prepared with the document from Yellowbee
see : Lots of ALARM ACTIVATION info

The first thing they asked me was if this is a factory alarm or an aftermarket one.
When I told them its the factory one, they called a technician to come over
and he knew exactly how to do it.
He plugged in the DRBIII thingy, punched in a few codes ...
and Bobs your uncle. DONE
$$$ For free $$$
Now when I lock the doors using the FOB I can see the red light flashing on the dash ,and if I try to open a door the horn starts beeping.
To get the hood and trunk to be secure ,you need to purchase a switch for each ( the document goes into it )

We were shooting the shit with the mechanic for a few minutes cuz they've
never seen an SRT at this dealership ,
Its a scary thought I know,,
but I figure its only a code thing ( nothing mechanical )

Just to be safe , I'd print out the word .doc listed above, incase your dealership is retarded (as some are ).

So, let me get this straight. I have a late model 04' and it came with the factory alarm installed. If I change my factory computer to stage 1 or stage 2 so I have to get my alarm re-activated at the dealer or will it still be on since it was from the factory? Thanks, Chris

alarm is controlled by the Body control module, that shouldnt make a diff...

Very true. I went to my dealer to have it activated. After the Tech pluged into my car he informed me that it was already activated. Also, he told me I was the first person to ever want the alarm activated, hmm....

The error code caused by the stage kits p06033 or something like that, has something to do with the skim not matching. Does any body know if the car can be turned off with the key if the fob dies?

I just checked my car and I have no red light on my dash. I sat inside and opened the door with the alarm active (so I thought! all this time) and nothing.... no alarm. Thanks for the info!!!! this is big.

Went to Dealership and they wouldnt even check for the bulletin...so since i work for another Dealership i made some calls and got a copy of it faxed to me. They still told me that my car was not equipped with an alarm. So the person who teaches my automotive class happens to work for chrysler and brought in DRB III and we activated it with no problems following the instructions from yellowbee provided by RICONTE (Thank you). So now i am gonna go up to the dodge dealership and show them how stupid they are. Thanks again guys for all the info. -Brad

1/15/04 is prior to 2/1/04. I would say you do not have one.

That's why I have an internet based kill system. I can disable the ignition whenever I want along with locating the car within seconds if it is ever stolen
