Default Tranny's screwed AGAIN!

Well i pretty well baby my tranny since i had to get it replaced. Tonight i was driving home from Thanksgiving dinner just driving normal, and I go to shift into 2nd and it wont go. I'm thinking what the fuck? I try to put it back into second again and it just feels like mush. So i go back into first and it goes in no problem. Back into second and it goes in.

So i drive a bit more and it does it again. So i limp home using only 1st and 3rd gear. I get home and check all the shift cables and they all seem fine. When my car is just sitting it will go into each gear fine, but if I go to drive it, 2nd and 4th are a no go. If i let it sit for a few minutes idling then 2nd 4th and Reverse come back, but not if i drive again. 1st, 3rd, and 5th are all good all the time though. So pretty well all my "UP" gears are fine, but my "DOWN" gears wont engage when moving.

Anyone have any idea?

I had kinda the same problem but mine was it would not go into second gear unless the car's revs were low. I took it into the dealership and they torn the tranny apart and replaced about 2.5 pages worth of shit on it. It was all covered under warranty but i did not have a car for 2 weeks. Now is works great and the gear box is super tight.

My fourth gear did that on my R/T a couple years ago. It was a simple retainer that had popped off. Let's hope it's just something simple like that...

Canadian Thanksgiving is not the same day as U.S. Thanksgiving.
