Default Tps?

Ok i have heard it might be tps, but just checking to see if it really is the problem, my car idles at 1200rpm, and when im driving normal speeds, say like 55mph if i throw it into neutral, the car will idle up to 2500rpm, and when i start up the car, it will spudder for a few secs then return to idle at 1200rpm, so i was thinking tps and replace wires and plugs, cause i know i have stock wires, and the car has 50+k miles, and im thinking it has stock plugs as well, not to sure havent checked the plugs at all, when i bought it used, so just checking to see what u guys think, to be fully sure its something. ur help will be greatly appreciated.

My car has always idled around 800-900 RPM. 1200 sounds a little high. Check for vacuum leaks...

Sounds exactly like a TPS problem. I'd check that first. But probably wouldn't hurt for new plugs and wires.

well i just talked to this guy, that works at parts plus, and he said before considering anything, run a OBD 2 scan, and cause it could be 2 things, 1 TPS, or there is a sensor on the throttle body its self, cause TPS just sends codes to the PCM telling it were the car is idleing at, and that the TPS has nothing to do with how the car is idleing at, so he said to run the scan first to see exactly, what it is, could be both or 1, so im going to run a scan first, cause my car at start up spudders, and sounds like i have cams, for like 5 secs, then returns to the 1100 rpm. so ill run scan and let u guys know what exactly what it is.
and oh yeah thank you guys for the help.

coo yeah, i also talked to my mechanic, and he said that, it could be the idle motor, that went out, but also could be tons of things, that could be setting off codes, and that need to do process of elimination. but will find out on Tuesday.
