i took the tech for a ride and the throtle got stick so i told what i thought the problem was and he told me to drop it off tomorow and he will read the forum and he will try to take of it
Got my car back today. It seems okay. The part that seemed to do the trick was the surge solenoid. They also replaced the IAC (idle air control) motor. Each part they replaced before installing the surge solenoid (TIP sensor & IAC motor) changed the behavior of the problem but didn't fix it. I'll scan the invoice this weekend.
Stealth, the key is that the problem comes and goes, and in MOST cases, when you hit 0 mph, it drops back to mostly normal (maybe a few hundred high) idle. A loose vac line would not act like that.

i got it back again today and they said they checked the tps and that there was nothing wrong with it. they told me it was a vaccume leak so im going to check it when it cools down.
i re-adjusted the pressure pipe and im holding the boost alot better now but i think my hks bov needs to tightend and that stupic sticky throttle wont go away. need some more advise.
My guys never did find a problem with my TPS, just changed it because the Mopar guys told them to under presure of my Lemon Law letter. Be prepared to have issues with your pressure pipe with the dealer. Just the kind of thing they like to blame stuff on
I think I made a thread about it, WAY back. Try an advanced search, me as the author, search term, titles only, "lemon" I cannot have started that many threads with Lemon in the title It was a good little saga, heck, might even be in the beginnig of this thread.
If, not PM me this weekend, I'll zip you some details
I took my car in for the same rpm-sticking cruise control like problem.
However mine did it constantly, in every gear and at pretty much any RPM or speed, no worries to duplicate..right? wrong! Before they test drive they notice an unusualy dirty air filter and replace it.. 2 knuckle heads test drove and found no problem.. I went for a drive and suddenly everything was fine.. That was 1 week ago, and now the problems back. I'll ask them about this TPS swap or whatever.
If possible, drive up while it's happening, DO NOT TURN THE CAR OFF!!!!, go in and explain to the guy that you want to exibit the problem. Offer to take them for a short ride.
i took them for a ride when it was happenig and they said they would fix it but sure enough the next day they told me it was not the tps and it was probably a vaccume leak. also when i driving at a rpm rate of under 3700 in i give it some good gas when the boost goes beond 8pounds the engine seems to miss or reach fuell cut off i cant figure out what the problem is because when im anywere from 3700-6000 i can go all the way to 17pounds with no problem at all.
just took mine in i threw the p0123 code tho, i tried to convince them its not just the tps its the wiring harness also, but they will not replace the harness, so i guess once they get my new tps in and i am still having this problem, ill have to go back and laugh at them, customers always right
well they seem to think im wrong and there write but we all know its the tps and the wiring harness but i guess ill have to pay to get it fixed the keep saying its the intake so i guess ill put the stock one back on and prove them wrong and i hape they tdont give me crap about my pressure pipe and hks bov.
