Default Synthetic Oil Help

I had someone pick up my car to have the oil/filter changed at a local tire/lube express. I bought the filter myself so I knew it was the right one and I specifically told the guy I wanted Mobil 1 10W30 full synthetic and even made it a point to make sure he didn't use the synthetic blend. For some reason I have a bad feeling that he may not have used synthetic at all. I have no basis whatsoever for feeling that way other than paranoia. Is there any way to tell if it is synthetic or conventional? I always watch my oil changes being done when I don't do them myself but this guy was doing me a favor (only charged me $20 for the whole deal) b/c I hooked him up on another matter. Thanks

if you are that paranoid, let the car idle after spirited driving. I wouldnt take your car on a road course, but would be fine for the occasional pull. there is really no way to tell if you have syn or dino without sending a sample to a lab. I wouldnt worry about it.

Thanks, I don't do a whole lot of hard pulls. Haven't been to a track in about 3 years. Mostly its a fast daily driver. I'll just make sure I don't go over 3k before the next change.

for what its worth, todays dino oils will easily last to 5k miles if you are just using the car for a daily driver. If it will help you sleep at night, just change it out or let it ride.....you have nothing to worry about.
