Post Stock 04 SRT4 - P1188 - need help!!!

I have a stock 04 srt4 that is throwing the code P1188. The only mod I have done is a custom Exhaust system. Also It is spiking to 22 or 25 PSI and backfiring. Need help on how to fix these problems. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

It might help if you turn your boost down. Jesus youre running lean.

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Check all of the lines coming off of your solenoids, one probably popped off somewhere.

Thanks for all your input. I have checked all my lines and all are still hooked up. If I had a vacuum leak somewhere I should see a different reading on my boost gauge right? It is still reading the same that it always has been. As I said it is a stock SRT4 so I have no way of turning the boost down on it do I?

Stock SRT4's spike around 14-16 depending on temperature. Check the black vacuum line that is connected to the WGA. If this line is off, the PCM can no longer control the boost. This means that the boost is controlled by the spring. This would also explain the overboost code, since the PCM still sees the amount of boost you are running, it just can't control it.

that happened to me once..i spiked 24psi for about a second...scvared the shit outta me, but i popped my hood and noticed the line connecting to the wastegate has broke off...my car is 2.5 years old and it has seen 74K miles...the hose just got a lil too hot around the clamp and broke off...

for a car with that many miles, the engine bay is still immaculate
