I'm sitting at a light waiting to turn as I go and make my left, shifted into second gear and I heard a loud noise and didnt sounded good at all. I pull over to the side and it was my spark plug wire hanging out and found my spark plug on the ground under my car??? I had a mechanic look at it and he can't get the plug on tight as he told me that it 's strip. Now they say that he might have to take the head out to fix it cause the thread is strip, (not the spark plug, where plug suppose to screw on.) This might cause me a couple of grand in labor and so depress and sad. My other car a 2007 cobalt ss/sc is down to cause the idler pulley snap of and its just sitting there till i can get that fixed. I have the worst luck with american cars and I'm not a big honda guy so makes me lean towards an import on my next car when i have these cars pay off in a few years.

Situation sucks but dont just bend over and let the shop fuck you. There looking at you like a meal ticket.
Take the care home and pull the head yourself with some friends then drop it off at a machine shop. Take this time to put a new 5 layer hg, ARP studs, new oem water pump, new oem timing belt...Or atleast thats what i would do.

Well your gonna have to re thread the spark plug hole. Theres a way to put a jelly/liquid on the tap/die threader that keeps all the shavings stuck to it.
Just because its easy to replace spark plugs doesnt mean its easy to fix this problem at hand. I would take it off and take it to a machine shop. There may be another way there talking about but im not sure of any others...
