Unhappy POP! NO bOOst at ALL now! Need some help....

I was showing off the stage 1 equipped srt-4 tonight to my father in law when something went wrong. I drove it first, showed him the WOT shift feature, and pulled over to let him drive (he drives a WS6 and is a good driver so I trust him). He gets in 1st gear real heavy.......and doesn't shift fast enough into second before bouncing off the rev limiter a couple times. He finally got into 2nd and proceeded to keep on the gas. At about 4K in 2nd we hear a very loud "POP", not a backfire, but rather something popped in the motor. I figured it's no problem....but he gets all quite and nervous looking. From then on we could not get ANY, I repeat ANY, boost to hold. No matter what RPM or what gear, it goes right up to 0 and stays there. I'm kind of nervous now because I've only had stage 1 on for 2 days and I'm not sure if my dealership will fix it or not........so I'm fishing for any suggestions on what I can check out. He previously owned a VR4 and thinks that the wastegate is stuck open. I reved it a bit in neutral and I can hear the turbo spinning up and all of my boost leaking out into the world! A constant "pssssssssss"....that's it. Could a hose have popped off somewhere? I'm not getting any error codes at all so I'm not sure where to start. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you have a leak in the piping between the turbo and throttle body. Check all the piping, clamps, any sensors in the piping, etc...

OK, I just got back from driving it......no boost at all. The engine runs perfect, but I floored it in second and all I got was the turbo spoolin but no boost. Something definitely has to be loose......thanks for the help guys, I'll hunt for anything out of place.

I'm nervous as hell.....gotta fix it.....

wait the turbo is spooling ?? can you feel the power of the turbo kicking in ?? if you have a spooling turbo and power fromm the turbo .. then im gonna say the line from the boost gauge is loose , or has come off if it is spooling but no power .. you need to check and tighten all the houses from the turbo to the intake manifold

FIXED!

Intercooling hose fell off! WTF? Must have been loose or the bit of oil down there (from PCV) maybe lubed it enough to slip off. THANKS FOR THE HELP!

Damn, now I can go to sleep and not worry all night........

BTW, sorry pain, I worded my last post wrong. I could hear a lot of air somewhere, but wasn't sure if the turbo was working.....it just hit 0 and that's it. I'm an idiot when it comes to turbos so...........I'll learn

Another BTW, after we drove the srt I took the ram air WS6 for a spin........wow, gotta give credit to the big american V8! Sweet ride.......very smooth pull from any rpm in any gear. It seems like when the turbo kicks in on the srt it pulls harder than the WS6, but I still think he has the edge on me.....he said I'll give him a good challenge.
