Ok, normally when I'm cruising and off of the gas or just idling, the boost gauge rests at 20 vacuum when fully warmed up. The past few days, I noticed it was resting at like 21 vacuum. THEN, I noticed when I engine brake, the vacuum goes like half way between 20 and 30, and then falls back to 21 once fully stopped and idling. Is this normal, bad, or good? Here's a pic I took when I downshifted to 2nd and was engine braking, rpms at a little under 3k. Any help would be great! The lines go by two from 20 to 30 vaccum, so this is at 25 vacuum or so!

Well I guess, but it's been fairly cold for a good while now here. Maybe I just finally noticed it. I was just worried there was some kind of leak (well not really a leak from too much vacuum but lol), so just wanted to make sure this was ok.
Pegs 30?? Damn, ok well I'm convinced it's quite normal, I was worried for a sec tho because I've never seen it go below 20. Whats funny is that the gauge never went past 20 vacuum probably because it's been sticking. A few nights ago I noticed it at 21 at idle, so I tapped it a little later while engine braking and it went to like 25! So obviously my gauge is sticking like crazy. New one is in at the dealer, just to have to get my ass up there. These gauges are weird, it's never stuck when I'm at full boost, but it seems to stick good on the vacuum side, oh well, at least it's got the important function of the gauge right. lol
Well got a the new gauge put in last Friday. MUCH better, does not stick at all, even when it's colder than hell in the morning. NOW when I'm driving, it usually sits at 21 vacuum and if I'm engine braking with the rpms at 3k, it's goes to like 27 vacuum or so. My other gauge was obviously sticking at 20 vacuum and it never would show any more unless I tapped it, which I finally happened to do and thats what the pic is of above. Got it all cleared up now, thanks guys.
