Question Low Boost Only 10-12psi Max HELP!!!!

Whats up everyone, my friend has a 04 SRT-4 and is only getting 10-12 Psi Max. There is no check engine light on and there seems to be no leaks. Installing a "T" fitting only allows it to go to 15psi. Another friend has the same problem with his 05 SRT-4 and he has Stage 2 w/o toys and is still only getting 10-12 Psi Max. Any idea whats goin on with these things? Anyone else have this problem with their car? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys.

cold weather does this. the ecu lowers boost in cold temps to gain the the same air at hot temps. waite till spring and @70 de your friends will see higher boost levels w/ no gain of power. remember cold air is more dence and reqires less psi for same result in power.

Hey guys!!! Thanks for your responses. I have an update on the problem with the car. I drove the 04' myself today and the boost gauge needle hit 10psi and started shaking bad and wouldnt go past it even when flooring it in 3rd or 4th. The boost gauge is brand new, 1 week old. He resets the computer and it doesnt help. I am thinking that possibly the computer is shot. Anyone else have any other ideas of what we can check?

I am having a similar problem myself. My car usually hits/stays around 14-16psi. Today I cleaned the K&N filter, changed to NGK Vpower plugs, and flushed and changed the coolant. Just took it out to make sure the plugs were fine and not spark knocking or anything. Now I am boosting 10-12 Max.
I reset the computer and what not and the car seems to have better throttle response and boost coming on quicker than before yet still only hitting 12psi.
Boost isn't fluttering around like before so everythings seems perfect....I just miss my higher boost.

Could have a boost leak. It isn't always the cold or the gauge. I was hitting 17 and then 5 minutes later I was at 10. Needle shakes bad if you try to get any more boost out of it. But with mine you can hear my massive boost leak until you try to do a test on it. When you test it, you can't hear the air coming out anywhere. Start checking everything for leaks. The vac lines, intercooler pipes, make sure everything is plugged in. You'll find it eentually. I still can't find mine but only been looking for a couple days. Might be going to stock slowly to find the problem

My friends mods are only the Mopar cold air intake, MPx 3'' O2 housing and a Corsa exhaust. We took out his Turbo XS Bov to make sure it wasnt leaking there and put on the stock bov. Everything else is stock and nothing leaking. The car does make some popping noises at w.o.t. sometimes, almost like its cutting out and breaking up.
