Does anybody have any idea what would cause this? Today I pulled into the Wally World parking lot to get some stuff, and I noticed my coolant temps were 205 on the scan gauge, with my A/C on, with a 180 t-stat in. I popped the hood and both fans were on, but were on low speed only. As soon as the coolant hit 214, the high speed fans kicked on, but I'm assuming its only cause the coolant reached that temp and not because of the A/C. The fans returned to low speed once the scan gauge indicated 195.
Does anybody have any idea what can be causing this?
There are 2 places for temps "I believe". The 180 t-stat only works for allowing the radiator fluid to flow as soon as the temp hit's 180. The fans I believe run off a different setup, mainly all hooked in, and controlled by the pcm. That's why there are a few write ups to bypass, or force the fans into high speed mode...Correct if i'm wrong...
