Probably a stupid question, but does this thing require a gasket or anything? Does it come with one when you buy it?
The best I can tell is that it's one part. I think the crank shaft sensor has a gasket that looks like a rubberband, but not the cam shaft sensor. If you have stock airbox you'll have to remove that and maybe the battery to replace it. If not then just the battery (I think).
Sweet, autozone has one in stock for $34.99 and they have it on hold for me. Thanks for all the help guys. I'm just glad I made it home...had to drive over 40 miles with that problem. I was on my way to take an exam for a higher job position, but looks like I'll have to do it another time.
If the problem ever comes back... make sure your intake isn't smacking the sensor. My short ram did this a few times. Tightened the short ram, reset the PCM, and problem was gone.
easy fix my ass lol sure it was easy enough to get to once i popped off my intake to get to the bolts, but easy went right out the window when the rear bolt snapped off in the head!
