Default heater doesnt heat!!!!

so winter, yeah kinda crapy this year. no heat at all! got the car in june so first srt for me. a.c rocks. just dont want to take it in a shop if possible. any simple things i should know about the neon.? i heard about a leak that gets your passenger floor board wet!!!

First thing to check is coolant level. If your low on coolant the heat wont work.

it can be a few things, one like the other guys said, your coolant level can be low, two your heater core can be clogged by some leaves or other debris, or three if you smell coolant in the car and you do have liquid on your carpets, your heater core is cracked and leaking. the third problem is of course the hardest and most expensive and time consuming to fix. usually goes for around $1000 at a shop, but you can probly do it yourself in a day or two for a few hundred. this happened to me in my ram which i decided to get rid of due to leaky ac and heater core LOL lovin the srt so far though
