Default hard starting / electrical problems

I have been having hard starting problems for a little while now. The car seems like it stuggles to start up in the mornings or when ever i let the car sit for awhile.

Next problem which might be the cause of the hardstarting is my voltage on my turbo timer is reading 14.5 to 15 while my scan gauge is reading 13.2 to 13.

not only that but my ALT percent is jumping from 23% to 19% to some times up to 50%. it is very sporatic. and when shit goes wrong the car stumbles and the brake light and abs light flash. while my scan guage goes nuts and then goes black.....

when i turn on my lights the alt seems to calm down a little but it still jumps around a lot.

i thought it might be high voltage off the voltage regulator
a bad pcm?
or the alt is shot

if any one can think of some thing or any thing i can try that would be great.

i am running out to get batteries for my volt tester thingy i have so i can check some things.

thanks,
Drew

I had the same problem, my car wouldn't start when it was real hot or random times but mostly when it was hot. It took me a while to figure it out because it only did it sometimes. I left the car on the sun for a while and the issue happended. I got a tester and put it on the relay then had a buddy try to crack it and not signal to the relay. I when under the steering wheel then check there and no signal to the relay either. I had to take the started under the steering wheel apart and found that the starter module was bad and a piece of the starter internally had a chip because they are made out of plastic.

I when to a junk yard got I whole steering column because they didn't sale the part seperate and replaced the starter module and the internal part of the starter that was chip. The car starts like a charm. I hope this helps
