Ok guys I hope ya doing good ,
I need some help and thous here , The car is spiking 18psi but holding 15 The problem is IF I do a dig or roll and powershift from 2nd to 3rd The car will hit some serious fuelcut in 3rd , if I keep my foot on the gas It will do it like 3 times on third gear and like 2 more on 4th then it'll stay at 110mph or so misfiring and not going forward , then when goin to neutro the car will turn off ... on the other hand IF I baby shift on 3rd and 4th it'll be fine , it does has the check engine on , p1187 and another one that ill post tomorrow morning , the spark plugs are 2 week olds , gap at 35 i believe , we check the sensor and they all have power , now according to some friends the problem might be Stock fuel pump is bad Coil pack Spark plugs 02 sensor Any help will be appreciate , and yes I had SEARCH a lot but nothing , thanks |

I would check the spark plugs, wires and coil pack first.. Srt's do not have fuel cut, but they do have spark blow out.. Mods? If stock turbo I believe .050 is the stock recommended gap, so .035 might be a little but too much.. I'm pretty sure somebody will chime in to verify this information.. Also, p1187 is associated with overboost and map or tip sensor..

whoa .5 = half of inch
aslo .35 = ~ a third but 0.050 is stock gap, and .035 is a great gap, you want the biggest gap possible with out blow out.... i run .035,,, = ) if you run the 4306 u need to change them every other oil change... your friend is prob right i had a local here and we swap everything and it ended up being his fuel pump..... i didnt have an extra to try.....

P0108-MAP SENSOR HIGH
When Monitored: Ignition on. TP sensor voltage less than 1.2 volts for greater than 1.7 seconds. Battery voltage greater than 10 volts Set Condition: The MAP sensor signal voltage is greater than 4.92 volts for 1.7 seconds. One trip Fault. POSSIBLE CAUSES MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE ABOVE 4.9 VOLTS (K1) MAP SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO (K7) 5 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT (K1) MAP SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE MAP SENSOR INTERNAL FAILURE (K1) MAP SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN (K4) SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN P0172-FUEL SYSTEM 1/1 RICH When Monitored: With the engine running in closed loop mode, the ambient/battery temperature above (-7°C)20°F and altitude below 8500 ft. Set Condition: If the PCM multiplies short term compensation by long term adaptive as well as a purge fuel multiplier and the result is below a certain value for 30 seconds over two trips, a freeze frame is stored, the MIL illuminates and a trouble code is stored. Great info brother , I really appreciate what u wrote but what should I do to fix the car , I mean I don't want to spend a heck lot of money and not find the problem , of ANYONE COULD BE MORE SPECIFIC PLEASE , NO1 here had this issue before ?

Ah btw the car is running rich , I can smell the gasoline when I'm on a stop and rev the rpms up
, I heard that If the car is running rich that might cause the 02 sensor read too much gasoline and send a message to the computer then the car would misfire ? |
