i just installed my new mpx fmic and everything seemed to be fine with it. i started it up and it ran fine so i let it warm up then took it around the block. halfway around i gave it a little throttle and it started idling at like 2000-3000 rpm. and also im only idling at 17 vacume instead of my usual 19. can anyone help me with this?

the t-style clamps are a lot better. they wont loosen as easy and seal better then the conventional ones. a vac leak wont be behind the bumper though. that would be a boost leak. the vac lines in the engine bay is where i would start
i just cheaked all the vac lines and they all seem to be hooked up. the thing that im confused about is why it ran fine for the first 10 minutes then starting running bad. im thinking about taking everthing apart again and starting over cuz maybe somthing isint connected right. another question... is there any vac lines on the hot side of the intercooler piping? because i dont kjnow how i could have disconected any while putting the IC in...
nope, no vac lines there. the only one that is really hidden is the one on the underside of the intake mani. There's also one on the turbo, but that shouldn't have been touched.
i put the mpx fmic on and had ZERO problems. i don't think that would cause your problems....

alright i found the problem, just incase this happens to anyone else here it is... when i took the stock IC out of the cold pipe, there were pieces of rubber that came off on the edges of the piping. turns out a little piece of the cold pipe ruber was stuck in the IAC and was causing the valve to remain somwhat open. i got needle nose pliers and pulled that S.O.B. out and it runs fine but thanks for your help everyone
