Default Dodges Secret SRT Cruise Control

Thinking smuggly when i read all the 03 owners problems with phantom rev's, wierd idle problems, performance decreases, i thought how smart i was waiting a year and buying an 04.

Well guess who just got the damn TPS problem at 6000 miles after 4 months of ownership. Yep, car goes in tuesday for service, i know what the problem is, lets see if the techs do. Really dissapointing that dodge even after one year of these problems could not fix it for the 04 (and betting 05) model years.

S hould R ecall T hese 4 cylinders

sorry about your luck man.

Yeah, i just suck. Thats why theres hundred of posts on this same problem. Sorry if your a fanboy and i hit a nerve, and that the turbo neon is the best car eVar, but if you were old enough to have bought multiple new cars, you would know that this is not how a new car works.

A car that makes noises is one thing, a car with a junk tps harness that accelerates without your input is a bit dangerous.

Its new, get that. IM a freakin car tech for god sakes, im not some teenage child who doesnt understand cars.

Problem free SRT..heh.. funny... i bought a brand new honda, a brand new acura, a brand new GM, and a brand new ford over the years. How silly was I to think that over the last 10 years that these NEW cars were a fluke, and that they should have come with problems from the dealership.

Now looking back, how dare i expect something new to be ok for at least a few months. Maybe i shouldnt even take it in , because problems with the srt come stock. Gotcha

Actually it ran a little soft after about 1000 miles. Didnt have all the power that it used to have. I figured it was something like a boost leak, or something minor. Then the past few days, and increasingly more, and worse the car rev's by itself, you drive let off the gas in gear, and the car maintains speed, not drops. Very annoying. Boost guage flutters at idle too, seems to be spark knocking also at idle... i dont know.

It will jerk sometimes because it accelerates itself , yep.

About the vaccum lines, there are a bunch of multicolored line under the hood leading into solenoids. Make sure all the lines are firmly hook up. Zip tie them if you want to be sure

I can take the cake here man

2003 Acura RSX Type-S bought with 6 miles on the odometer and still with the white plastic shit on it right off the truck.

2500 Miles, Transmission was replaced because my syncros in 2nd and 3rd were shot.

5000 Miles, Cant engage reverse without a god awful grind while fully stopped with foot depressing brakes all the way and parking brake pulled all the way. Reverse replaced, 5th gera and 6th gear shift cables replaced, asked tech about my clutch he said he was showing the normal ammount of wear for 5000 miles.

10,000 Miles, 2nd and 3rd fuckign up again, clutch is slipping, reverse acting up again. Rebuilt transmission again, nothing was fixed cept for the clutch.

11,000 Miles - traded in for 2004 SRT-4.

I never once launched that car hard, never missed a gear, never grinded, never rode the clutch, rev matched all my downshifts...
