I'm calling my dealer later. Mine feels like it has a misfire, the old '98 felt the same way when it was missfiring

RE: 2.0L DOHC, 2.4L NA OR 2.4L TURBO ENGINE BENT VALVE

DATE: May 9, 2005

INVOLVED VEHICLES:

2005 (RS) Town & Country/Caravan
2005 (RG) Chrysler Voyager (International Markets)
2005 (PT) PT Cruiser
2005 (PL) Neon
2005 (TJ) Wrangler
2005 (KJ) Liberty
2005 (JR) Sebring Sedan/Convertible/Stratus Sedan

DISCUSSION: A number of 2.0L DOHC, 2.4L naturally aspirated or 2.4L turbo engines may have been built with a bent valve(s). This could result in a vehicle no start, engine misfire or engine noise. If after a road test the conditions are not present, no further action is required. It will be necessary to perform a road test on all the vehicles listed, to determine if an engine replacement is necessary.

If any vehicle(s) have the condition the engine assembly must be replaced.

I hope that was meant to be a joke. Why would Hemi misinform us? He is one of the only members who gives us VALID info.

I just had a new engine dropped in my car...
head, block and turbo....

It has a loud tick when the car is idling. Alot louder than the car used to be when I bought it...

I had to get it replaced due to water damage, do you think that it could have gotten replaced with some bad parts?

Its no joke, i cant find any news on that matter. dcx does not know what i am talking about and niether does star. theres nothing on techconnect or on the world wide recall sytem. no tsb or rrt even nowhere related to that issue. im not saying hemi is full of crap but maybe he was misinformed. theres people at the corperate level telling people that our cars have counters that can tell a tech how many times youve redlined the car and how many times youve gone faster than 120 mph. none of that is true. i had a guy come in the other day saying that he wanted the underside of his trunk fire proofed . i told him that there was no fire proofing on our cars. he said that dcx failed to fire prrof the trunk area and that theres a recallsaying that the fuel cells break when in an accident. and that the fire proofing wasnt rustproofing! he argued with me till the end , he left unhappy! but oh well
