Default CV joint might be bad?

Ok well it started about two weeks ago on my way to work. I was taking a left and i gave it a little gas and i heard a fairly loud crunch noise . But as i drove away there was no vibration in the wheel at all so i dismissed it as nothing. So on my way home i notice that if i'm at a stop and i try to drive away normaly it makes the same horrid crunching noise. Its been like this for at least a week now and i'm getting worried. Two mechanic friends of mine said it might be the cv joint. What do you guys think?

It's the cv joint. My celica made the same noise at the same times. I replaced the joints and it solved it.
