code P0234 overboost performance? - SRT Forums

i got it about a week or so ago when i accidentally hit my switch to high boost 19 psi. im still stage 0 on an 03. just curious as to what the code means.

1188 is overboost. this must be diff.

I've gotten both 1188 is part throttle overboost. 0234 is when you hit 20 psi. I got it because my green line to the turbo twisted off.

oooh i see, no wonder i get 1188 every time i go on the highway, its hard to keep the boost to 0 or less.

do a search for the edtip mod....it took care of p0234 for me after i installed my wga....no more cel

I did the edtip mod too. It seems to be working. No more codes

yeah i just did the edtip mod earlier today. was just curious to know what it was as i only got it 1 time to the 10 i got 1188

ill get a P0234 code if it boost past 16 lbs in 4th or 5th gear for more than 3 to 5 seconds. ive boosted up to 20 before ( very briefly ) and i didnt get a 1188 code.

well i have an o4 and i get the code with every mod small boost big boost or no boost at all. i have done some reserch and there is no fix that will get ride of it with out effecting something else on the car. some told me to do the edtip mod by caping off the red line before the throttle body. well this is what tells the pcm how much boost is there to change timming and spark and fuel. which is not a good idea as far as i am concernd
