Default Clicking in steering column...more dealership hassles

Well I noticed a clicking type deal in my steering column when i accelerate or brake. it feels as if it is clicking back and forth. i bring it to the dealership for them to look at and they have not found the problem.....they call me and say the warranty will be void cuz of the parts put on my car. now in CT the warrranty isnt void unless the parts cause the problem and it is proven. intake, stage 2 , exhaust, etc do not cause a problem in the steering column, so how can it void the warranty for that?

If I were you I would find a Mod Friendly dealership in your area. Because there going to keep on blaming the parts on your car, even though the stealership has to prove it was the cause blah blah blah.

I just went through the same bullshit for a click in my steering column as well. There is actually a TSB for the click, and they tried to say that they can't touch my car because it's been modded and that my warranty is voided because of that. Almost a month later of bitching and complaining, they finally decided to fix it.

Just be persistant and don't stand down. Tell them you want written proof stating what modification you made to the car that made your steering column fail and how it made it fail. This will give you a bit of room to get your way.

print it out and take it in with you... when they tell you there isnt one, whip the paper out and smack em in the head with it.... and if it was me, I would leave and find another dealer, because if they arent smart enough to use their computer, then they cant touch my car...
