Car starts and dies immediately

I am having a problem with my car. If i disconnect the battery and connect it again the car will start and run for about 5 seconds and dies. Then it will not restart. This problem happened after I drove home the other day and I noticed the gauges would not work also The car was running for a few extra seconds after I turned the key off with the turbo timer turned off. I am pulling my hair out on this. Please someone help. Whoever gives me advice that can make my car work again I will give a reward.

maybe ur key lost its learn for the skim.....cause thats what cars do when the key isnt programmed....do you have a spare key?

Yes I have a spare key. How do I fix it

try to start it with the spare key see if it still does it.....could have lost both skim keys but ive seen just a single key go bad before

I noticed when I try and start my car it cranks but wont start and the headlights go off when I try and start it. Very frustrating problem anyone got any suggestions.

My boy had an issue with his it was his computer which he changed. Then he changed his fuel injectors, fuelpump, and it solved the problem. You got alot of factors there. I would check the computer which has a skim like he said as a theft deterrent.

Its basically a chip in the key that sends a signal to disarm the immobilizer if the key is messed up or isnt recognized by the immobilizer the car will start up for a brief second or 2 and shut itself off.

ASD chould do it too. Bad Auto Shut down relay can be bad. Go to junk yard or buy one at the auto store nothing $$$ bad i had to get one for mine cost me like 15$ at autozone idk if thats the same price for you but it worked fine.

Check the voltage on your alternator. It could be that, what yr and whats the mileage on the car?
