Default Car/ Dealership issues!

ok. so Ive had a little problem with the srt-4. I just bought it 2 weeks ago used* with 24,000 miles from a Dodge dealership. They day I brought it home the cd got stuck in the player, and the car pulled pretty hard to the right. So I Took it back to the dealer, and they ordered me a new headunit and "supposivley" re-aligned it. I leave the dealership and if I let go of the wheel it "turns" to the left! So Im speculating that they really didnt align it just messed with the alignment, w/o testing it.

So this past monday 1 1/2 weeks after purchase, I start hearing this loud kinda noise cummin form the engine. No engine light just an unusual noise. Rather its at start up or driving. The day goes by the Noise increases and the Light finally comes on. Tuesday- Imdrivin the car home from work and it gets REAL lowd so I turn the car off and pull over. I go to start it again Nothing(sounds like a really pissed off starter!). I try again and agian nothing. sp we push start it, and My buddy works at a Jiffy-Lube, so we hooked up the "reader", and it says "Muli-Engine miss fires in cylinders". I immediatly took it home left it there till today. My dad tells me to take the battery cable off and maybe it will resest the computer and maybe work properly. Which it didnt, so I had a tow truck take it to the dealership. I called and told the service dept. what was goin on, and he says "we'll take a look at it". He calls me later today and says "it looks like youve been drivin the car real hard. I think your clutch is goin out, its disentergrating*, and thats where your gettin the noise. and Im not seeing any engine codes". I told the guy to tell his service tech to drive it around and let the computer register that there is a problem. he calls me back and says "we cant get it to throw any codes" so i tell him not touch it and ill be up there later on today.
I get there today and he keeps tellin me that i need to replace my clutch (which I laugh and say ok, how much? $1300 bwhaha). I told him to give me the keys and ill be back in 5mins. As SOON as I leave the lot rev it to 3000rpms enigine light comes on! so now Im pissed , casue that says they didnt do what I asked, and their tryin to get me to buy shit I dont need! so we turn around go back and wait for the guy to come talk to me. I tell him that it threw the code, "now go check it!". Service sales guy comes back-"ya it looks liek the engine is miss fireing, so you needa go ahead and get that clutch fixed so we can take a look at that miss fire" me-Bwhahaha Then He tries to tell me it could be my sparkplugs. which I say "its a brand new car WTF you mean new spark plugs, Didnt you just say that they go throw a intense checkover before they sale a used car".

End result--Teenager catches service man in Lie Twice. Service man gets pissed, and tells me to get out of his office, and go talk to the Manager.bwahaha.

Will update(with shorter story) when more info is recieved!

Threaten them that you'll contact DCX if they don't fix it and stop lying to you.

You need to go to a different dealership, period. Find a decent one and you'll be fine.

Hey not all dealerships try to burn the customers...I work at dealership and it seems that most of the people that come in is for warranty work...and everyone that works in a dealership would probably agree with me...warranty doesn't pay crap...they are the ones that you need to get around in order to get payed.... I had a customer tell me that his rf tire was losing air and he had to keep putting air in it...the discount tire he went to told him that the chrome on his wheels was bubbling and that was causing an air leak. Oh yeah they also said that his wheels were out of round due to the heat that the wheel produced and the type of material it was made out of. So it's not that Dealerships try to rip people off, it's people that try to rip people off. I agree with those that said to take it to a different dealership. You also might want to talk to the General Manager of that particular dealership. Good luck

Thanks, Well yesterday I figured Ide just try to get a free clutch out of the deal since they instisted that the clutch was going out. But I Talked to the Owner of teh dealership and he says that they wont warranty the clutch even though I bought it from them 500 miles ago. But Im still gunna take it to another dealer just to see if their techs have more knowledge with the car.

The service men and the manger says that I drive the car to hard and there not going to warranty it, because when I was in the parking lot tryint to get the Engine light to come on I was reving the car. And they siad they are basing me reving the car in the lot as teh way I daily drive the car. My dad kinda threaten them in a business manner, so today the Owner is suppose to call and let me knwo if they were gunna warranty it or not. =]
