So this passed weekend i installed a n2mb WOT box/2step and the install went well box works great. Well now im getting what seems like either spark cut or overboost.
mod list:
d44
returnline
new 4306's gapped .32
boost box 9/12/15/15/15
usual bolt ons...
water inj.
What happens: it does it at WOT and part throttle. tonight i was in 2nd at 2500 and got to about 5 psi, when it hit 3500 boost dropped to 0 and wideband went lean for a second... shifted to 3rd and started building boost and it cut out at 3500 around 7 psi. so i shut down and went to 2nd and started at 3k... pull went fine 12 psi until about 5500 rpms where it cut out. It does it randomly and for no reason sometimes. ive been having some problems before with the boost box but its never cut out before.
This set up ran at the track a week before without the WOT box and had 10+ clean passes at 12 psi with the boost box and about 5 passes with a forge boost controller at 16 psi. no problems redlined every run.
normally i'd start with the plugs and such but the WOT box is the only new mod, so i am willing to take it off before i start troubleshooting everything else.
so people with the wot box are getting this problem? is this something that just needs to be tuned out? 75ms? also what is alternate rpm for the 2step?
im not very pleased to see that a wide open throttle shifting box is controlling boost.
Hm, I'm just now having a similar issue. I've had my wot box on for probably a year or longer and it's just now happening. I went over all the wiring today and every connection is soldered and looks good. I put a new coil on it and gapped the plugs differently and still no change. How do you just turn the box off? I don't have the boost box btw, just the wot/2 step box. Can you really just turn it off?

ya heres a direct quote from n2mb on how to power it down.
"
Yes. Just use the software to disable both features.
Or just tap the button on the box for less than 1 second. the LED will go out and it will be disabled. It will remain disabled until you restart the car. "
i turned it off today and it ran perfect! turned it to 25 ms and ran perfect to about 6k where it stuttered and i let off. turned it to 125 and it cut out.
im working with jon... were leaning towards the clutch wire. ill keep you guys updated.
