I need help. Im new to this turbo thing and I dont now whats going on. I installed a manual boost controller and told them to put it at 20 psi. Now the turbo is acting up. It sounds like the wga is opening up to soon cause the bov lets out the air before 0 psi if i accalerate and let off.

I say this not to be rude but so you don't cause some serious damange.
Ok, I am about to do a boost leak test also but I am confused about this whole procedure. I actualy brought the mach V tester and adapter from srtoys and going to use that. I don't understand how once you pressurize the system it will bleed down? what do you mean bleed down? I don't have an expensive air compressor but what I do have is the normal small air compressor thats good for 300psi , and its used for inflating tires, rafts, and other items. Hence I got the adapter so I can use the stem. How am I able to monitor how much pressure I am pumping in and how to make sure it bleeds?

Max, it will "bleed down" through the throttle body, that plate in there is not a perfect seal. I use one of my kids to sit in the car and watch the boost gauge, they love it
Oh, and depending, your compressor might not have enough cojones to do this. Some of the 12 tire infaltors dont.

I know yall are probably tired of messing with this subject but I was wondering in that diagram that shows the 5 spots to check is that the only places that it could cause a boost leak?
Nope, just the most likely suspects the surge valve, the throttle body, the hoses themselves could be leaks also, that's why you have to test, not just tighen those clamps.
Yea, I just got done tightening mine havent taken it out for a test drive yet but, I use to get 18-19 psi now I am lucky to even hit 15. Not sure if my boost gauge is screwed up or not. I have a system in my car that shakes the needle so not sure if that might have screwed it up or not. Guess if not I can do a test see what happens. I got some pretty good turns on all 5 clamps.

ok heres my deal. i cant get it to boost over 8 psi im really lucky if it gets to 10. but i have overboosted about f5 times with a MBC so would my problem be with the gauge itself?
well befor work today i looked under the car and found one the hoses going to the intercooler was almost off i fixed it and now i get a peak at 18-19 psi what a difference

You are peaking at 18-19 and all you have is a sri?? Last time I checked, an intake alone didnt increase stock boost levels.
